God has different names to help us understand what He is like. One of God’s names is Shepherd. We call God “Shepherd” because He is loving, protective, and He’s guiding us every day like a shepherd does for his sheep. Say this after me: God Is My Shepherd
What was the shepherd’s job? To love and protect the sheep. A shepherd takes care of his sheep, and because God takes care of you and me, we can call Him our good Shepherd.
Do you think God will ever leave us? No. That’s right! The Bible tells us that He is always with us and there isn’t anything He wouldn’t do to keep us safe.
